The short version: our apps do their work entirely on your iPhone. Your photos, your outfit history, and your location never reach any server of ours — we don't have one that stores user data. No accounts, no analytics, no trackers — in the apps or on this website.
Rigwig LLC is a software company registered in New Jersey, USA. This policy covers our iPhone apps — Passportrait (passport photo compliance checking) and Daycoat (personal weather-comfort outfit recommendations) — and the rigwig.org website. Questions about it can be sent to support@rigwig.org.
Passportrait captures photos you take and reads photos you choose from your library, with your permission through Apple's standard photo and camera access prompts. All analysis — face detection, measurements, background and lighting checks, and reading photo metadata such as capture date — happens on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks.
The export unlock is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and provides us no personal payment details. Restoring the unlock on a new device goes through Apple's standard restore mechanism; we keep no purchase records of our own.
The app may download a current copy of the official photo specification (measurement rules) from our server at launch, so rule changes reach you without an app update. This request carries no personal information or photo data. Standard technical logs for that request (such as IP address) may be briefly retained by our hosting provider for security and then discarded.
Daycoat asks for your location, with your permission through Apple's standard location prompt, for one purpose: fetching your local forecast. The location is passed to Apple's WeatherKit service, which returns the weather; Apple's handling of that request is described in Apple's own privacy terms. We never receive your location — the request goes from your device to Apple, not through us.
What you log — outfits, day plans, comfort ratings, notes, and the weather snapshot saved alongside each entry — is stored only on your device. The recommendation model runs entirely on the device, learning from that local history. There are no accounts and no sync service; if you export a backup, the file is saved where you choose and never passes through us.
The daily check-in reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. There is no push server and nothing is transmitted to deliver it.
Our apps have no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no trackers. We do not collect your name, contact details, location, identifiers, or usage data.
rigwig.org is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties — every page is served whole from our own hosting. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security purposes.
If you email support, we receive your address and message and use them only to help you. We don't add you to any list.
Our apps and site are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes to how an app handles data will also be noted in that app's App Store release notes.
